Honesty

I'm going to be honest, I haven't put effort into this blog in a few weeks, trying to finish high school while working part time and trying to stay healthy and fit, all while planning a vacation isn't easy, and to be honest I haven't done much in the realm of creative other than cook, I've been a cooking up a storm!
I want to get back into this creative stuff, but I want to change directions, I want to be a little more insightful and thoughtful, and post more about food, I love food, i don't know how many people have even read these blogs or miss them at all, but for me it's important to continue with them because I like to look back and see what I was like and what I've learned, what I've done.

Day XXXIV Ravioli!!!

I decided to make ravioli, using this recipe and here is how I did it and the filling I made for it.

 Filling recipe

2 sticks celery
1/2 cup onions
2 tomatoes roasted with salt and pepper
1 zucchini, raw

I started out by making the dough, then while it was resting I started on the filling.

Cook the tomatoes on a broiling pan so they dry our nicely P.S Spray the pan with PAM or oil it before putting the tomatoes on.

season with salt and pepper

after they are cooked they should be like this.

next cook the onions and celery in olive oil for a few minutes

Throw it all in the food processor, including the zucchini

You dough should be rested by now, rip off little balls about this size until you have a bunch of them.

roll them using a glass jar (a rolling pin works too but I like this way better)

roll out 2 circles and put the filling on one

place the other piece on top and press down sides with a fork.  put them in a bowl to put in the fridge if you're not eating them right away

I had extra left over so I rolled it out and cut it into strips

Cook it for about  10 minute in boiling water, or until tender

I served it with sauteed spinach and tomato soup

NOTE* If you are going to refrigerate these, they WILL go bad in a few days, I suggested eating them within 1-3 days of making them, if not the day of.

Day XXXVIII 4-16-11

For returning I thought I'd show you my suitcase chair.

I made it from an old suit case from the closet, the cushion is made from gold pillow shams and stuffing.

Back tomorrow

I haven't been on here, my life is like a ADD kid at disney land right now, I am doing so much I don't even know what's going on, these last 5ish weeks have gone by so fast, I documented a bunch of creative things, I need to edit photo's and get them up, the flash on my camera is having issues so I need to fix it before I can take pictures that are not in the sun..

To sum up some stuff, I need to finish my project I previewed a few days ago, photo my other thing, and edit a bunch of photos from today, tomorrow I have stuff planned.

Love...

Day XXXI 4-7-11 Progress

I would show you what I'm working on for the next big thing, but I hate when people put up teaser posts so I won't, you'll just have to wait, I will tell you it involves gold pillow shams though. :)
That is the explanation for no creative thing to day, except pillow sham shopping.
